At the core of my work is a belief that art should evoke emotion and provoke thought. I strive to create pieces that sing visually but also inspire conversations and connections among viewers.   The essence of my paintings lies in our interaction with the world and the unique lens through which we perceive and interpret our connections to it. 

My current practice explores how memory accumulates in layers and can disintegrate, shift, slip, and ultimately fade away. With a focus on colour, movement, and gesture I seek to recreate memories by using visual metaphors to express either an emotion or an element of the experience.

I begin each piece with a memory in mind, but allow the materials, sketches, music, and my intuition to guide me as I work. I like to play with colour and texture, layering in stages and being led from one process to another.
